Department of Environmental Microbiology mainly undertakes the examination, analysis and evaluation of microbial indicators in drinking water and room air, carries out the studies on new technologies and new methods for the determation of environmental microorganisms, participates in the formulation and revision of hygienic standards and examination methods related to environmental health and takes the charge of the identification, preservation and quality control of environmental microorganisms.
